The home for sale located at 286 Lakeshore Drive West is located in Lake Quivira Kansas. It is a small incorporated city bordered by Shawnee Kansas and Kansas City Kansas. It has a population of slightly under 1,000 and is primarily the residential Country Club Lake Quivira which is gated and whose one entrance is manned 24/7 by a security guard. Admittance is restricted to members and guests whom they have arranged for with the security office. Maintenance and repair personnel must also be cleared by the member with the security office before entry is allowed.
Lake Quivira is a private country club community offering a mix of recreational and social amenities
unmatched in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The 18-hole golf course, situated in the wooded, rolling hills overlooking the lake and the Kaw River valley, provides an enjoyable golf challenge for players at any level.
The course layout offers a variety of hole designs which, members say, makes it a course you can continue to enjoy time after time. Unlike so many golf courses today Quivira is surrounded by nature, not lined with home sites.
In 2001, we completed a comprehensive renovation and addition to our three-story clubhouse. The Spanish Eclectic architectural design is reflective of the Coronado legend. The updated building provides the convenience and freshness of a new building, but also retains the charm and ambiance characteristic of the historic stone clubhouse. The clubhouse is the focal point for many activities. Our dining and banquet rooms take full advantage of the beautiful lake settings.

We take pride in presenting high quality food and service to our members and their guests. Members may also take advantage of our banquet facilities for meetings and private receptions.
The centerpiece of the Quivira is the 200-acre spring-fed lake. Whether you choose sailing, swimming at Crescent Beach, angling for game fish, or simply enjoying the tranquility of being near the water, the lake sets the stage for the resort lifestyle that sets Quivira apart.

The lake is stocked with trout and other game fish on an annual basis. Members are welcome to join the Yacht Club to participate in sailing activities, and we provide a boat landing in Blessing East Side Park area for members wishing to bring their boat to the lake.
Much of Quivira’s uniqueness is derived from the many varied groups and clubs that exist within its membership, beyond those typically found at a country club. Whether members’ interests lie in sailing, equestrian activities, gardening, fishing, card playing, or gourmet cooking, Quivira offers an opportunity for everyone to be involved.
